How to explain what’s “normal” chaos?

Unfortunately this is representative of me… Scary huh?

Life, it’s insane, messy and stressful

I mean, I get it. Most people feel.their lives are unmanageable on a periodic basis, every so often the discord teaches truly epic levels, and people are put to the test. Their mettle is then tempered or broken.

Most survive, with damage to their whatever, but they survive. Death of a spouse, death of a parent, birth of twins or triplets, major surgeries, all of these things will trigger that CHAOS feeling, overwhelmed, not sure where the next hit is coming from.

What’s normal anyhow?

As somebody once said; “Normal? Hell, that’s easy, normal is a setting on the dryer.”

People think they know what normal is, but the truth is that they only know what normal is -for their life-. See, somewhere between the ideals presented in good TV drama and good TV Sitcom’s is normal.

One or two kids, middle income family, soccer on Tuesday’s, Piano on Thursday’s and family wing night or Movie Nite Saturday. Mom’s got her social circle, dad hands with the boys and fixes cars while talking trash about sports. Somewhere in there? Does your family fit? Mine sure as hell don’t.
