It’s a Number’s Game Man

I like this picture, but there’s no way in hell I’d be caught working in such an environment.

For one, it’s too clean, and the second point, that keyboard is far too small for my veritable bear-paw mitts that I call hands.

Now, it’s about two-thirty in the morning, local time. I am still hunting a discrepancy in the numbers of a file that should have lined up and synched ages ago (like midnight). At the moment, I’m just pushing the next trial run past the database, so yeah, I know numbers.

Numbers are what I live and breath.

“But Duke, how do you equate numbers with a writing career?”

Well, I don’t, not really. Not hard and solid numbers like I’m fussing with tonight.

But telling lies for fun and profit is also a numbers game.

60 wpm,

250 words = onepage

blog posts are 500 to 1000 words dedicated.

Short stories? 1500 or thereabout.

Want a following, 30 days, or 5 days a week, or post a day for a year…

It can all be reduced to numbers.
