Sometimes, even deeply held traditions are passed over in moments of tragedy.

I’m not usually a preaching type, but having said that, lately all I’ve been able to share is my faith. See, writing, for me, is a fickle thing. Somewhat. I am a verbose kinda person, with lots to say, but I need to be able to get to a quiet space in my head to be able to say it. And the last two weeks have been anything but quiet. In fact, they’ve been rather more chaos than quiet. Spring break started for my three school aged children when the got home on March 13th.

At that point, Covid-19 was a thing that was happening elsewhere. I mean, we live in the back of beyond, and frankly there’s only a few thousand of us in how many square miles?

Then I started reading today, and well, Medium has all the best stuff, truly.

Here’s the link to the thing that got me started on this typing and ranting.

Thus, as I keep asking: When our self-imposed quarantine is ended, and all of us return to ‘life as normal’ but the virus is still out in the wild, then when we all get back together, BAM!, a resurgence in infections and cases, things go South, horribly wrong, really really fast, like they would have if we hadn’t tried to self-isolate in the first place.
